Shell Pearl Stretchy Bracelets

£14.40 £12.00 inc VAT

Shell Pearls are an affordable alternative to real pearls.  They are made from mother of pearl and are more durable than genuine pearls, because of the way they’ve been created. They don’t tend to discolor or fade and are more resistant to damage. They can tolerate chemicals, sweat, body oils and detergents better than real pearls.

Additional Information

Shell Pearls are made from the inner lining of oyster shells, also known as Mother of Pearl. The substance is ground to a fine powder, shaped, dyed and coated with natural pearl nacre and then a protective coating to give it lustre. Shell pearls will keep their colour and shine and will not be affected by sweat and perfume. Indeed, they are more durable than cultured and freshwater pearls. Natural mother-of-pearl shell has tremendous spiritual value for those whose high goals and attitudes keep them feeling stressed. Mother-of-pearl shell is commonly believed to attract prosperity and is often used in mystical work and lore to heighten intuition, psychic sensitivity and imagination. It is believed that mother-of-pearl shell offers soothing, motherly protection from negative energy and love. It is associated with the solar plexus and throat Chakras.

Jewellery Care Tips

– Keep your jewellery dry – do not expose to water (Bath, shower, sea, pool, spa etc.)
– Avoid using harsh jewellery cleaners, as this will strip any coating or plating.
– Avoid applying lotion or perfume with your jewellery on.
– Remember this basic rule: Jewellery should be the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off.
